The extension of the existing grammar school will blend in as an independent element along the local park of Kirchheim. The building with the generous outside balconies should convey the impression of a tidy stack of precisely cut timber panels. The exact outer edges will be interrupted by the movement of the classrooms, and inside the large hall will be transformed into a playful and open area with the freeform and soft shapes of the communal areas and special zones.

On the ground floor are functions with a strong public image: the foyer, auditorium and cafeteria. Around these are grouped the areas of music and art, with direct access to the outdoor space and creative courtyard. Via a covered passage, you come to the new four-field sports hall and large playing field. On the first floor, the MINT subjects are accommodated as a cohesive and independent area. Above this on three levels are the classrooms, which can be flexibly interconnected into clusters.
